Shu Lei is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in software engineering and policy enforcement. Currently serving as the Director of Software Engineering at Google, Shu Lei leads the YouTube Trust and Safety engineering team and has previously directed advertising policy enforcement to enhance user safety through machine learning and automated solutions. Prior roles include Senior Staff Engineer, Staff Engineer, and Engineering Manager at Google, with significant contributions to publisher policy enforcement and AdMob integration. Shu Lei’s career also includes positions at AdMob, MobiTV Inc., Microsoft, and Siebel Systems, supported by a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Maryland.
