Adolfo Romero

Vice President Event Programming at SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park

Adolfo Romero has extensive experience in event programming and marketing within the sports industry. Adolfo most recently served as the Vice President of Event Programming at SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park, starting in April 2021. Prior to that, they were the Senior Director of Event Programming at the same company from April 2019 to April 2021.

Before joining SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park, Romero held various roles at Major League Soccer. Adolfo was the Senior Director of International Events from June 2015 to April 2019, where they oversaw the placement and execution of international matches and managed key relationships with stakeholders. Prior to that, they served as the Director of International Events & Marketing, where they led marketing and sales strategies for international events and managed media placement, ticket sales, promotions, and influencer marketing.

Romero also gained experience at CONCACAF, where they served as the Head of Marketing and Host Committees from December 2016 to April 2019. Additionally, they worked at the Copa America 2016 Local Organizing Committee as the Marketing and Host Committee Lead from December 2015 to June 2016.

Earlier in their career, Romero worked at Herbalife, where they held multiple roles including Global Sponsorships Manager and Global Sponsorships Associate Manager. In these positions, they managed various sponsorship properties, developed creative activation initiatives, and oversaw the execution of sports-related campaigns. Adolfo also collaborated with internal and external partners, and assessed new regional growth opportunities.

Romero's early career included positions as a Marketing Coordinator at Herbalife International from June 2007 to January 2010, and as a Business Development Manager at Chivas USA, Major League Soccer from December 2004 to April 2007. Adolfo also gained experience as a Marketing Intern at Angels Baseball from January 2004 to December 2004, where they assisted with promotions, event planning, and special theme nights.

Adolfo Romero completed their Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing at California State University, Fullerton from 2001 to 2006. Adolfo also pursued Marketing studies at the College of Business and Economics in Cal State Fullerton during the same period.
