Dylan Smith is a seasoned professional in journalism and design, currently serving as the Free Speech Chair on the Board of Directors at AAN Publishers since July 2024 and as a Committee Member for the Professional Standards & Ethics Committee at the Society of Professional Journalists from December 2021. As the Editor & Publisher of TucsonSentinel.com since June 2009, Dylan has extensive experience in overseeing editorial content, alongside a long-standing role as Principal at Context Designworks, focusing on design and coding for various media. Dylan also played a pivotal role in founding LION Publishers, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting independent online news organizations. Previous positions include Online Editor at Tucson Citizen and Tucson Newspapers, Executive Director at The Quintessential Stage, and Designer at BKM Creative Services. Dylan's educational background includes studies at the University of Arizona and Prescott High School.
