Michael Villanueva is currently serving as the External Vice President at SHPE, where responsibilities include maintaining over 20 corporate sponsors, coordinating professional development events, and managing the chapter website. Previous experience includes an internship at Northrop Grumman as a Cryocooler Manufacturing & Test Engineering Intern, focusing on thermal testing and tool design, and a role as Sponsorship Lead at Illini Electric Motorsports, coordinating support from over 25 corporate sponsors. Additional positions held include Systems Security Engineer at Northrop Grumman, New Member Roundtable External Vice President at SHPE, and Vehicle Setup Project Lead at Illini Motorsports. Michael's background is supported by a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The Grainger College of Engineering, expected in May 2026, and an educational foundation from Carmel Catholic High School.
