Susan Rogers is an advisor at Theirtoric New England. Susan has over 25 years of experience in the food industry, specializing in quality assurance and product development.
Susan started their career as a home economist/development technologist at Flavourite Foods Ltd., where they worked with the chief flavour chemist to develop new seasonings for savoury snacks, baked goods and ready meals. Susan was also responsible for QC testing of finished products and providing technical support to account managers.
In 1988, Susan joined Dawn Foods Europe as a quality assurance manager. In this role, they developed the company's quality management system, conducted internal and external quality audits, and trained the management team. Susan was also responsible for the successful acquisition of ISO 9001 Quality Management System Standard for Dawn Foods Europe. Prior to their QA role, Susan was a QC technician/food development technologist in the Quality Control Laboratory/Test Bakery, where they were involved in product development from bench to pilot to full-scale production.
Susan Rogers has a Bachelor of Arts in Home Economics (Food Studies & Applied Food Science) from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh. Susan also has certificates in Sensory Evaluation at Intermediate Level and Foundation Level from the Institute of Food Science and Technology, as well as Food Hygiene at Advanced and Intermediate levels from the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
