Steven Jong is a seasoned technical communicator with extensive experience spanning several prominent companies. Currently serving as a Fellow at the Society for Technical Communication since January 2018, Steven previously held roles such as Specialist Technical Writer at Hitachi Vantara and Principal Technical Writer at Oracle, where leadership of a documentation project for a broadband network intelligence product occurred. Steven also made significant contributions to the STC Certification Commission as Chairman from 2011 to 2013 and served as Director at Large for the Society for Technical Communication from 2007 to 2010. With a strong educational background, including a Master’s in Science Communication and a Bachelor’s in Physics and Astronomy from Boston University, Steven has successfully managed documentation teams, implemented process improvements, and elevated documentation quality throughout a diverse career.
