Holly Bontoft is an experienced legal professional currently serving as the Head of Legal (Senior Lawyer) at Social Work England since September 2019, where management of the legal team and provision of legal advice on regulatory and commercial matters occur. Previously, Holly held roles as an Associate in the Regulatory Group at Fieldfisher from October 2013 to September 2019, focusing on regulatory compliance, legislative drafting, and fitness to practice litigation. Earlier experience includes a position as a Solicitor in the Public and Regulatory Group at Fieldfisher and training as a trainee solicitor at DAC Beachcroft LLP, where healthcare and public law were key areas of specialization. Holly began the legal career with an internship at the New Policy Institute, conducting research on young people in rural UK. Academically, Holly holds an LLB from The London School of Economics, an LLM in Public Law and Human Rights from King's College London, and a Legal Practice Course from BPP.
