Amina Musa

Amina Musa is an experienced program manager and cultural advocate with a strong background in social science and community engagement. Currently serving as Program Manager at the Social Science Research Council since January 2023, Amina has also founded ISIRKA, a blog and podcast focused on Somali culture, identity, and belonging. Previous roles include Program Manager at Princeton in Africa, Affinity Groups Coordinator at United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut, and Project Coordinator at Redsea Online Cultural Foundation, where Amina facilitated communication for prominent African writers and academics. Amina's work at Kayd Somali Arts and Culture Limited involved extensive programming and grant writing, while earlier experiences included roles as a Social Justice Interpreter at the Harriet Beecher Stowe Center and as an Americorps Vista with Journey Home, Inc. Amina holds a Master’s Degree in International Development and Social Change from Clark University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, International Studies, and Africana Studies from Arcadia University.
