David Simnick has a diverse work experience that spans over a decade. In 2009, they began their career as a Project Coordinator at Group Incorporated. David then took on a Business Development Intern role at CARANA Corporation, an Intern role at the City of Naperville, and a Student Director of the SPA Leadership Program role at American University. In 2010, they were a Social Studies Teacher at Teach For America and the Co-Founder of TalkChalk. From 2011 to 2019, they served as the CEO & Co-Founder of Soapbox, which was awarded an INC 500 award in 2017. In 2019, they became a Strategic Advisor at SPERO, where they manage a portfolio of independent businesses.
David Simnick attended Naperville North High School from 2002 to 2006, graduating with a diploma. David then attended American University from 2006 to 2009, earning a BA in Communications, Legal Studies, Economics, and Government with a minor in Economics. In 2010, they began a MA in Education program at the University of Pennsylvania, but left the program to launch Soapbox.
