Gijs Looijen is an experienced professional currently serving as the owner of both a self-employed venture and NATURA3000 since July 2019, while also contributing to agrarian nature association De Ploegdriever. As a project employee at Limburgs Landschap since January 2018, responsibilities include management and planning. Since December 2015, Gijs has been a travel leader for SNP Natuurreizen van ANWB and is also the owner of Via Ecologica, a start-up focused on developing and marketing long-distance hiking trails. Additionally, Gijs has been an active board member of Werkgroep Milieubeheer Groesbeek since June 2014 and worked as a staff member at Doornroosje from 2000 to 2009. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Ecological Engineering from Van Hall Larenstein and multiple degrees in Philosophy, Sociology, and Anthropology from various institutions.
