Ali Hasan is an experienced engineer with a strong background in synthetic biology and chemical engineering. Currently serving at Snapdragon Chemistry, Inc. since July 2020, Ali previously held leadership roles in the NYU iGEM Synthetic Biology Lab, where innovations included genetically engineering E. coli for environmentally friendly flavonoid production and implementing optogenetics for enhanced enzymatic activity. Ali's research experience also encompasses synthesizing advanced catalysts and optimizing reaction conditions in a continuous-flow micro-reactor at the NYU Flow Chemistry Microsystems Laboratory. Additionally, Ali has a demonstrated history in web development, having led a significant website redesign for the Middletown Islamic Center that improved user experience. Ali holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from New York University, earned in 2020.
