Gidi Rubin is an experienced Augmented Reality Engineer at Snap Inc. since May 2022, focusing on design and software development to explore applications of AR technology. Prior to this role, Gidi worked as a Software Engineer at ResMed, contributing to remote therapy capabilities in a full-stack capacity. Gidi has also served as a Research Assistant in Human Robot Interaction at CSIRO, examining literature on social robots and testing robotic interactions, and as a Technical Assistant for Digital Fabrication at Monash University, supporting advanced manufacturing technologies. Experience further includes roles as a Research Assistant in Embedded Electronics at SensiLab, a Software Engineer Intern at National Australia Bank, and a Winter Research Scholar at SensiLab developing an interactive exhibit. Gidi Rubin holds dual degrees in Bachelor of Design (Industrial Design) and Bachelor of Information Technology (Software Development) from Monash University.
