Chris Hofmann currently serves as the Director of Transmission Planning and Operations at SMUD, a position held since April 2024. Prior to this role, Chris was the Director of Transmission & Generation Operations at Salt River Project from December 2019 to April 2024, and held multiple director and managerial positions at NV Energy from December 2014 to December 2019, focusing on grid reliability and delivery operations. Chris's earlier experience includes being a Business Manager at Liberty Utilities and a Managing Member at C-Con Consulting, specializing in fiber transmission and SCADA network design. Chris holds an MBA in Organizational Behavior and Project Management and a BSEE in Distribution Power Systems from the University of Nevada, Reno.
