John Flynn Thattil is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in sustainability, resource development, and operations across various sectors. Currently serving as Vice President of Sustainability & Resources at Smile Foundation since July 2017, John has taken on new challenges in this role. As a consultant for UnLtdIndia since August 2011, John developed a comprehensive three-year fundraising plan. Previous leadership positions include Chief Operating Officer at Ummeed and National Director of Resource Development at Habitat for Humanity India, where responsibilities encompassed fundraising and communications on a national level in affordable housing. John's career also includes regional management at HelpAge India, where operations, program implementation, fundraising, and advocacy were overseen in the western region of India. Earlier roles include Group General Manager Operations & Purchase at TASS Inflight Systems and Corporate Marketing Manager at Alcon Resorts and Condominiums. John holds multiple degrees, including a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Mumbai and a Hotel Management diploma from Sophia College Polytechnic.
