Van Wong currently serves as the FAE Ass. Director at SMIC, starting in October 2023, where responsibilities include providing technical expertise to enhance customer products through new business engagement and quality improvements. Prior to this, Van Wong worked at GLOBALFOUNDRIES from 2017 to 2023 as a Field Application Engineer Manager and Technical Program Manager, managing various customer designs, achieving first-time-success in silicon quality, and contributing to over $100 million in Design-Win revenues. With extensive experience in semiconductor process integration engineering at multiple companies including GF, Freescale/NXP, TSMC, and Chartered Semiconductor from 1994 to 2016, Van Wong has focused on high-volume production technologies for diverse applications, emphasizing process improvements and customer-focused solutions. Van Wong holds an Engineerā€™s Degree in Microelectronic Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
