Peter Chien has been working in the field of Statistics and Data Science since 2006 when they became a Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 2014, they became the CEO and Chief Scientist at SmartUQ.

Peter Chien holds a Ph.D. in Statistics and Optimization from the Georgia Institute of Technology School of Industrial and Systems Engineering, as well as a Master's degree in Statistics from the University of Michigan.
