Önder Akar is the current CEO & Co-Founder at SmartPulse Technology Inc. and has over fifteen years of experience in the energy sector. Önder started their career as a software engineer at GCA Yazılım and then transitioned to Deloitte Turkey as a senior consultant. In 2011, they joined RWE Turkey Holding A.Ş. as the Manager of Wholesale and Retail Portfolio Management. In this role, they were responsible for managing the wholesale power trading activities based on EFET agreements, cross-border power trading activities for BG-TR border, and the retail portfolio including sales activities, product development, key account negotiations, constructing forward curves, commodity risk calculations, customer pricing, and retail portfolio hedging. In 2014, Önder was promoted to Vice General Manager at Volt Enerji ve Bilişim Teknolojileri and then to Chairman at SmartPulse Technology Inc. in 2018.

Önder Akar has a Master's in Business Administration from Hacettepe University and a Bachelor's in Computer Engineering from Anadolu University.
