Rui Cardoso has a diverse work experience in the field of software development. They started their career in 2007 as a Web Developer at AEIOU, where they worked until 2008. They then moved on to Practical Way Software, working as a Web Developer from 2009 to 2011. In 2011, they joined PT Creative as a Web Developer for a short period of time. In 2012, Rui worked at Rocket Internet Portugal as a Web Developer until 2013. From 2013 to 2018, they worked at Blip.pt as a Frontend Developer. In 2018, they joined Hostelworld Group as a Backend Developer, where they worked until 2022. Currently, Rui is working as a Backend Developer at Smartex.ai.

Rui Cardoso attended Escola Superior de Tecnologia de Viseu from 2002 to 2005, where they pursued studies in Informatics. Subsequently, from 2005 to 2007, they enrolled at Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto and completed a degree in Informatics Engineering. Continuing their education, Rui Cardoso pursued a Master's Degree in Technologies of Knowledge and Decision at the same institution from 2009 to 2011.
