Jon Grooters is an experienced leader in the utility solutions and energy sectors, currently serving as the Director of Utility Solutions at Smarter Grid Solutions since July 2023. With a strong background in sales and strategic account management, Jon previously held positions as Director of Sales at Electrical Grid Monitoring and Director of Strategic Accounts at Generac Grid Services, where industry-leading virtual power plant and demand response management system capabilities were emphasized. Prior roles include driving grid innovation at Advanced Control Systems and overseeing sales and applications for Beckwith Electric. Jon's engineering expertise was developed through earlier roles with Emerson, Hartigan Power Equipment, Applied Power Industrial Sales, and Harris Group. Academic credentials include an M.B.A. and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, both from Colorado State University.
