Jane Leu has a diverse and extensive work experience. Jane is currently a Member of the Board of Directors at Five One Labs, an organization that supports entrepreneurs in Iraq, Colombia, and other countries. In 2012, they founded and became the CEO of Smarter Good, Inc., a global services firm that assists social impact and nonprofit organizations. Jane has also served as a Lecturer in Management at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and was the Founder and Former CEO of Upwardly Global, a national nonprofit organization focused on the integration of immigrants into the professional workforce. Jane has co-authored a book called "Unicorns Unite: How Nonprofits and Foundations Can Build EPIC Partnerships" and is an Ashoka Fellow. Additionally, Jane has held leadership positions in organizations such as Welcoming America and Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service. Their work experience also includes roles at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung as a journalist.
Jane Leu has a Master's in International Affairs (MIA) from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA). Jane also holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in German and History from Tufts University. Additionally, they completed a Junior Year Abroad program in German Literature at the University of Tübingen.
