Philipp Smirnov has worked for three companies in the past few years. In 2021, they began working for Smartcat as a Support & Sales Development Representative and a Customer Support Engineer. Philipp also began working for State Corporation Rostec in 2021 as a Translator. In 2020, they began working for Skyeng as a Tutor.

Philipp Smirnov attended Moscow State Linguistic University from 2017 to 2021, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics. In 2019-2020, they participated in a student exchange program at Okan University, where they studied Translation.
