Phi Truong has a diverse work experience. They have been a Software Engineer at Smart Vision Labs since 2017, a Coding Instructor at App-Academy since 2016, a Co-founder and Development Strategist at Vimiz LLC since 2010, a Dental Assistant at Commonwealth Mobile Oral Health Services since 2007, a Residential Assistant at University of Massachusetts Amherst since 2010, and an Assistant Director at Boston Refugee Youth Enrichment Program (BRYE) since 2005.

Phi Truong's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (B.S.Sc.) in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, which they completed in 2013. In the same year, they also attended Fudan University for International/Global Studies. They are currently studying Computer Science at UMass Boston. Prior to this, they attended Boston Latin School from 2004 to 2008.
