Roxana-Cristina Ioan has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Roxana-Cristina is currently employed as a Mental Health TMS Practitioner at Smart TMS since January 2022. In January 2023, they also founded their own company, Mental Health Southampton. Prior to these roles, Roxana-Cristina worked as an Autism Behavioural Therapist starting in November 2021. Roxana-Cristina also had a role as a Youth Mental Health Support Worker at The Beehive Project from October 2021 to January 2022. Additionally, they gained experience as an Associate Practitioner at NHS England from January 2021 to October 2021. Before that, they worked as an Office Administrator at RGIS - UK from January 2020 to January 2021 and as a Leisure Club Receptionist at Best Western® Hotels & Resorts from May 2019 to November 2019. Roxana-Cristina's earlier experience includes a long-term role as a Catering Assistant at Serco from September 2015 to April 2019. Roxana-Cristina also had a Laboratory Internship at the University of Southampton during the summer of 2018, where they gained experience in clinical neuroscience research, including cryotomy on mouse brain tissue and double labeling immunohistochemistry. Roxana-Cristina was also trained in using a confocal microscope and supported the Carare Research Group in designing experiments and data analysis related to Alzheimer's disease. Roxana-Cristina Ioan has a strong educational background in the field of life sciences. Roxana-Cristina began their educational journey in 2011 at Colegiul National Mihail Kogalnicanu Galati, where they studied mathematics and computer science. After completing their secondary education, they continued their studies at the University of Southampton. From 2015 to 2019, Roxana-Cristina pursued an Integrated Master of Neurosciences with an undergraduate focus in biomedical sciences at the same university. Roxana-Cristina further expanded their knowledge in the field by obtaining a Master of Science in Neurosciences from the University of Southampton in 2019.
In addition to their formal education, Roxana-Cristina has also obtained several certifications. In 2014, they completed the Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certification through IELTS, TOEFL, and Passport Ltd. In 2015, they obtained the International Computer Drivers License (ICDL) certification through the ECDL/ICDL Certification institution. In 2017, they obtained the CPR/AED/First Aid certification from the University of Southampton and the Phlebotomy Technician Certification (PTC) from Phlebotomy Training Services.
