Johan Zammit's work experience includes founding and serving as the CEO of Smart Studios, a technology and innovation company that specializes in AI and digitalization solutions. Johan is also the founder and chair of Changemakers - Malta Innovation Summit, a community of business leaders and entrepreneurs focused on driving change and innovation. Johan is the founder and administrator of Business Angels Malta, the first business angel network in Malta. Additionally, they are the founder and chair of Malta Innovation Forum, an event that brings together innovation stakeholders. Johan has also worked as the CTO of Greenroads, a company that aims to improve transportation and mobility solutions through emerging technologies. Johan serves as a startup mentor at Abu Dhabi SME Hub, an initiative supported by the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development. Johan has experience as a visiting lecturer at the University of Malta and as a board member of Silicon Valletta. Prior to their current roles, they were an advisor, business coach, and mentor. Johan founded Altanova Business Solutions Ltd. in 2005 and served as the CEO.

Johan Zammit pursued their education at the University of Malta, graduating with a B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Information Technology from 1996 to 2000. Johan furthered their studies at the same institution, completing an MBA degree specializing in E-Business from 2001 to 2003.
