Anik Islam is a Senior Research Associate at Smart Prosperity Institute, leading research and data analysis on Sustainable Finance, Industrial Transitions, and Innovation Policies to support Canada's transition to a net-zero emissions economy. Previous experience includes roles as a Research Associate focused on green industrial strategy and sustainable finance, and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at the University of Ottawa, where responsibilities included supervising students and conducting literature reviews related to COVID-19. Anik's professional background also features roles at Keystone Business Support Company Ltd. as Senior Associate and Associate, where economic analysis and business development were key responsibilities, as well as an internship at Southeast Bank Limited. Anik holds a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Ottawa, a Master of Science in Finance from Queen Mary University of London, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Economics from North South University.
