Damien Smith is a seasoned technology operations and project management professional with extensive experience in IT and operational roles across various sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Technology Operations & Delivery at Smart Parking Technology since July 2019, Damien is responsible for achieving project objectives within IT and operational domains, focusing on process evaluation and the implementation of best practices in governance and change control across diverse technological services. Prior to this role, Damien held several key positions at Stats NZ from June 2016 to June 2019, including Manager of the Census Programme Office, where advisory and leadership on project management practices were emphasized. Additional experience includes managing enterprise-level projects at MPI, governance and assurance roles at Westpac, and various project management positions at companies including SKY TV and Vodafone.
