Brian Carrier is a seasoned executive in the field of digital forensics and incident response. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Sleuth Kit Labs since October 2023 and at Cyber Triage since February 2017, Brian has developed automated software solutions for DFIR. Prior experience includes a significant role as Chief Technology Officer and VP of Digital Forensics at Basis Technology from February 2006 to September 2023, where leadership was provided over software development and investigative projects. Brian's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Purdue University, complemented by a Master of Science from the same institution and a Bachelor of Science from Northeastern University. Notable early career roles include research-related positions at Purdue University's CERIAS and at @stake, where Brian led incident response efforts.
