Senior UI Engineering Manager at Sledgehammer Games

Sushama Chakraverty has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles in the gaming industry. Sushama is currently working as a Senior UI Engineering Manager at Sledgehammer Games since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Prodigy Education as an Architect, Engineering II/Technical Director, Game from March 2021 to January 2022, where they supported programmers, artists, and designers to provide engaging education for young minds.

Before joining Prodigy Education, Sushama worked at Ubisoft Toronto for a significant period of time. Sushama started as a Programmer in March 2010 and progressed to the role of Team Lead Programmer for Watchdogs Legion. In this role, they led the UI programming team in Toronto and provided support to programmers, artists, and designers. Sushama also worked on the UI for Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist and dealt with localization issues and Flash-related problems. Sushama'stenure at Ubisoft Toronto lasted from March 2010 to March 2021.

Prior to joining Ubisoft Toronto, Sushama worked at Ubisoft Montreal as a Programmer. Sushama was part of the Presentation team for Assassin's Creed 2 and contributed extensively to the map system, which involved UI, gameplay, and mission elements. Sushama worked closely with gameplay teams to ensure seamless integration of UI features. Sushama'stenure at Ubisoft Montreal lasted from November 2008 to March 2010.

Sushama's earlier work experience includes positions at Bedlam Games, Cyberlore Studios, Inc., and Infogrames, Inc (Atari). At Bedlam Games, they worked as a Programmer responsible for physics simulations in a game prototype. At Cyberlore Studios, Inc., they served as a Programmer II and was responsible for implementing User Interfaces, gameplay systems, and first-party requirements for games like Playboy: The Mansion and Playboy: The Mansion - Private Party. At Infogrames, Inc (Atari), they worked as a Programmer and was responsible for implementing the User Interface for Dungeons & Dragons Heroes and handling localization issues.

Sushama Chakraverty completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from D.Y.Patil College of Engineering, Pune University, from 1994 to 1998. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County from 1999 to 2001.
