Alex McCord is an experienced aviation professional with a comprehensive background in airport planning and development. Currently serving as the Vertiport Development Lead and Senior Vertiport Planner at Skyports since October 2020, Alex has been instrumental in designing and operating vertiports for electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) vehicles. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Consultant at Landrum & Brown, where Alex managed consulting tasks for major airports, and as Aviation Planner with The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, contributing to the JFK Vision Plan. Alex's expertise extends from positions at AECOM as Airport Planner II, focusing on airfield projects, to early airport operations responsibilities with Columbus Regional Airport Authority. Alex holds a degree in Air Transportation from The Ohio State University.
