Yihenew B.'s work experience begins with their current position as a Principal Engineer at Skylo Technologies, which they started in 2023. Prior to this role, Yihenew held the position of Senior Software Engineer at RANIOT Technologies Oy (Ltd) - a subsidiary of Skylo Technologies, Inc. - from April 2020 to June 2023. They also served as a Co-Founder at RANIOT Technologies Oy (Ltd) from January 2018 to March 2020, where they developed and provided IoT solutions for industrial networks and platforms.

Before joining RANIOT Technologies Oy (Ltd), Yihenew worked as a Senior Software Engineer at SSF - Space Systems Finland Ltd from August 2018 to January 2019.

Additionally, Yihenew's career began with roles at Aalto University School of Science and Technology, where they initially served as a Research Assistant from May 2011 to November 2012, followed by a position as a Doctoral candidate from November 2012 to July 2018.

Finally, Yihenew started their professional journey as a Graduate Assistant at Bahir Dar University from September 2007 to August 2008 and later became an Assistant Lecturer from September 2008 to August 2010.

Yihenew B. completed their education with a Doctor of Science in Technology in Communications Engineering from Aalto University in 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Communications Engineering from the same university between 2010 and 2012. Yihenew B's academic journey began at Bahir Dar University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Electrical Engineering from 2002 to 2007.
