Erik Valent is currently a Project Manager at SkylineDx. Prior to this, they were a semi-professional marathon speed skater with the Dutch skating association (KNSB). Erik has also completed traineeships at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Ruhr University Bochum, and was a PhD student at VU medisch centrum. Erik's research interests include the regulation of vascular permeability by Rho-like small GTPases.

Erik Valent received their Master of Science degree in Cardiovascular Research from VU Medisch Centrum. Erik also holds a BSc in Health and Life Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) and is certified in Radiation Protection niveau 5B from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam / VU.
