Jian Li is an accomplished leader in machine learning and data science, currently serving as Head of Engineering and Head of Machine Learning at Sky since June 2014. In this role, Jian Li leads the Machine Learning Group within Sky's Innovation and AI department, focusing on the development of machine learning-driven products to enhance customer value. Prior experience includes roles as Principal Data Scientist and Machine Learning Team Manager at Sky, where Jian Li managed teams specializing in innovation in recommendation systems, natural language processing, computer vision, and audio processing. Jian Li also has a background in software development as a contractor at Microsoft Research Cambridge and has contributed significant research in computer vision and machine learning while working as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at Queen Mary University of London. Jian Li holds a PhD in Computer Vision and Experimental Psychology from the University of Bristol, an MSc in Control Systems from Imperial College London, and a BEng in Automatic Control from Harbin Engineering University.
