Mikael Svensson has a rich background in educational technology and digitalization within Swedish municipalities. Currently serving as Programansvarig för skolans digitalisering at Sveriges Kommuner och Regioner since June 2019, Mikael previously held multiple roles at Gävle kommun from January 1998 to June 2020, including IKT-Strateg and Utvecklingsledare för digitaliseringen, where Mikael led strategic initiatives for digital development in the Skolförvaltningen. Additional roles include IT-samordnare and verksamhetens projektledare, overseeing the renovation of Lillhagsskolan, as well as experience as a Ma/NO/Tk-lärare and vikarierande rektor. Educational qualifications include an IT-strategutbildning from VLM-institutet in 2016 and studies at Umeå Universitet and the University of Gävle, completed between 1993 and 1998.
