Axel Hallberg is a prominent representative of the Miljöpartiet in Lunds kommun, serving as a full-time Partiföreträdare since October 2018. In addition to this role, Axel is a member of the municipal executive board, holding positions such as 2nd vice chair of the environmental and health committee and vice chair of the Fairtrade City cooperation group. Axel has also been active as a member of various committees, including the technical board and building committee, and served as the group leader for Miljöpartiet in the municipal council from 2018 to 2022. Since March 2023, Axel has held the title of Kommunalråd and represents Miljöpartiet in the digitalization committee of Sveriges Kommuner och Regioner. Previously, Axel has served as a member of the Swedish Parliament, focusing on transportation policy, and has held leadership roles in Grön Ungdom. Education includes studies at Lund University School of Economics and Management from 2020 to 2021.
