Brennan Gantner

CEO & Co-Founder at Skip Technology

Brennan Gantner is the current CEO and co-founder of Skip Technology. Brennan has also co-founded eWind Solutions, Inc., where they served as the Director of Technical Development from January 2014 to December 2018. Gantner is focused on developing an airborne wind energy system that will provide four times more electricity than a comparably priced traditional small wind turbine. Brennan's research and development efforts include: aerodynamic design, materials research, custom manufacturing techniques, electrical generator design/fabrication, autonomous flight software, autonomous launch and landing systems, high-voltage electrical power equipment, flight path optimization and much more. Brennan also helps develop the business and regulations side of the company. In addition to speaking with potential customers, they engage federal and local regulators to ensure the company's smooth operation within the law. Brennan has formed collaborations between eWind and local universities, and has helped eWind recently win $800,000 in USDA SBIR support for development of their system.

Brennan Gantner's educational career began with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics from Santa Clara University. Brennan then attended Stanford University for Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering, but did not earn a degree. Finally, they earned their Doctor of Philosophy in Astrophysics from the University of Colorado Boulder.
