Franz is the Senior Partner and Chairman of PROBST PARTNER AG, a Swiss-based law firm focusing on corporate and commercial law that he founded in 1995.

Franz Probst is Founder and Chairman of SkillSonics International AG, Zurich and SkillSonics India Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore. He is also Senior Partner and Chairman of PROBST PARTNER AG, a Swiss-based law firm focusing on corporate and commercial law that he founded in 1995. Franz began his career at the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property after graduating from the University of Bern in 1983. In 1989, he received a Master of Law from the University of Michigan Law School in Ann Arbor, USA.

He went on to work at large law firms in Palo Alto, San Francisco and Zurich, and, also served as first parliamentary

Ombudsman of Winterthur from 1992 to 1996. Under his leadership as Chairman of the Swiss-Indian Chamber of Commerce (SICC) from 2005 to 2011, SICC was established in India and grew into the leading bilateral organization of the Swiss and Indian private sector. Franz initiated the Swiss VET Initiative India and headed the pilot project

launched in 2008 to introduce vocational education and training in India.
