Sander Ploegsma is a Software Designer at SKA Observatory since September 2022, integrating and delivering the Central Signal Processor for the SKA-LOW radio telescope in collaboration with TOPIC Embedded Systems. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Software Engineer and Software Designer at TOPIC Embedded Systems, and Software Design Engineer at ASML, focusing on sensing software for YieldStar optical metrology systems. Sander has also held positions as Software Engineer at Xebia Studio, The Sting, Imperial Brands, Fontem Ventures, bol.com, and Q42, contributing to e-commerce platforms, cloud infrastructure, and innovative product development. Sander holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Delft University of Technology and has a background in IT as Commissioner of IT Affairs for De Delftse Bedrijvendagen.
