Eric Davis has a diverse work experience in the field of language intelligence and technology. Eric started their career at Carnegie Mellon University as a Graduate Research Assistant, focusing on child language annotation, sentiment analysis, and machine translation. Eric then joined NHN as a Junior Manager, where they worked on designing decision tree classification software, news clustering software, and question/answering hierarchy classification. After that, Eric joined Apple as a Software Engineer and later became a Software Engineering Manager. At Apple, they led the CoreLocModeling team, focusing on applied Machine Learning and NLP problems in support of Siri. Currently, Eric is working at SK Telecom, where they have held several leadership positions. As VP of Language Superintelligence Labs and AI Language Tech Labs, they are responsible for building and developing language intelligence models and language technologies. Eric also served as the Team Leader in the Tech Prototyping Group Linguistic Team, expanding Nugu's global reach and enhancing AI understanding and conversational capabilities. Additionally, Eric headed the Global AI Development Group and Enterprise AI Solutions Group, focusing on the development of user experience-focused products and services.
Eric Davis earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics, Psychology, and Computing from UCLA in 1999-2003. Eric later pursued a Master of Science degree in Language Technologies from Carnegie Mellon University in 2006-2008.
