Gary Giust

Director, System Architecture at SiTime

Gary Giust, PhD, is a seasoned professional in electrical engineering with extensive experience in system architecture, technical marketing, and product management. Currently serving as the Director of System Architecture at SiTime, Gary advances timing solutions for the Communications-Enterprise-Datacenter business unit. Previous roles at SiTime included leadership in technical marketing, focusing on optimizing timing systems and engaging with standards bodies. Gary is also a point of contact for the Oscillator Workstream within the OCP-TAP project, enhancing time synchronization in data centers. An educator at the University of California, Santa Cruz, for over 13 years, Gary has taught industry professionals about jitter essentials. Prior experience includes leadership roles at JitterLabs, AppliedMicro, PhaseLink Corporation, Supertex, Cypress Semiconductor, and LSI Logic. Gary holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University, complemented by a Data Science specialization from The Johns Hopkins University and master's and bachelor's degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder and the University of New Hampshire, respectively.
