Abby believes that well designed public spaces, whether in the form of streets, parks, or urban plazas, have a powerful role in building communities. As such, robust and transparent community engagement is integral to her design approach. Prior to SITELAB, Abby was an active transportation planner and designer. She brings a technical background in integrating mobility and urban design and her work has spanned the city design scales; from regional network planning and city-wide park master plans to detailed multimodal street design and park design. She has practiced urban design in the United States, New Zealand, and Australia.

Abby holds a Master of City Planning with an urban design emphasis from UC Berkeley College of Environmental Design, and a BA in Linguistics and Cognitive Science from Scripps College.
