Lauren Takaichi is an experienced optician currently working at Site For Sore Eyes since March 2021, where responsibilities include fitting and dispensing eyeglasses and contact lenses, assisting patients with frame selection, and managing appointment schedules and insurance claims. In addition, Lauren serves as an Optometric Assistant while also directing the Middle School Youth Group at Wesley United Methodist Church, coordinating ministry programs and creating educational content for youth. Additionally, Lauren holds the position of Junior High Camp Director for the National Japanese American United Methodist Caucus, overseeing camp administration and staff training. Lauren is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of California, Santa Cruz, expected to graduate in June 2024, after graduating from Los Gatos High School in 2020.
