Simon Richards is an experienced sustainability professional with over 16 years in the field, currently serving as Sustainability Director at Sir Robert McAlpine since October 2007. In this role, Simon oversees sustainability and environmental management within the Central, Wales & West Region, implementing ISO14001 certified Environmental Management Systems and developing a comprehensive Company Sustainability Strategy. Previous roles include Regional Environmental & Quality Manager at Sir Robert McAlpine, where responsibilities included the management of Quality and Environmental Management Systems and compliance with environmental legislation. Prior experience includes serving as Programme Manager for Flood Risk Management at the Environment Agency from October 2005 to October 2007. Simon holds a degree in Physical Geography and Environmental Management from Aberystwyth University.
