Simone Conta is a research scientist in acoustics at SINTEF Community since October 2020. Previously, Simone held the position of university lecturer at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from September 2020 to December 2022, coordinating the building acoustics course TBA4167 and teaching in the building physics course TBA4160. Prior experience includes serving as an acoustic consultant at Müller-BBM from September 2007 to February 2017, and a student assistant at Ødegaard & Danneskiold-Samsøe / Lloyd's Register ODS in 2006. Simone started a career as a sound engineer and technical director at De Line srl from 2002 to 2006. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Acoustics from NTNU (2017-2020), a Master of Science in Engineering Acoustics from DTU - Technical University of Denmark (2005-2007), and a Bachelor's degree in Applied Physics from Università di Trento (2000-2005), along with other certifications.
