David Wood has been involved in a variety of roles in the field of futurism since 2008. David began their career as the Chair of London Futurists, a meetup dedicated to serious discussion of the potential impact of technology on human experience. In 2009, they became the Principal of Delta Wisdom, an independent futurist consultancy and publisher. David has since held roles as a Fellow of the Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technologies, Node Co-Chair of The Millennium Project, Board Director of SingularityNET, Executive Director of Transpolitica, Co-Founder of Transhumanist UK, Member of the International Advisory Council of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, and Member of the Advisory Board of Sustensis.

David Wood attended the University of Cambridge from 1978 to 1982, where they received an MA in Mathematics. David then returned to the University of Cambridge from 1982 to 1986 to pursue a degree in Philosophy of Science.
