Agapi Thomopoulou is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in banking recovery and resolution, currently serving as a Bank Recovery and Resolution Expert at the Single Resolution Board since July 2015. Previously, Agapi held the position of Banking Analyst at the European Commission, contributing to projects related to the financial crisis in Greece and working within various directorates general focused on financial stability and economic affairs. Earlier roles include serving as a Public Servant for the Government of the Hellenic Republic, where financial analysis was conducted, as well as a Project Trainee at the European Investment Bank. Agapi began a career in research at the Institute of International Economic Relations. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Applied Economics and Finance and a Bachelor of Science in International and European Economics from Athens University of Economics and Business.
