Jenefer Alam currently serves as Assistant Director at SingHealth Intellectual Property Office, where responsibilities include collaborating with clinicians and researchers to assess, protect, manage, and commercialize emerging technologies and intellectual property. Prior roles include Senior Manager at SingHealth, Patent Examiner at the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore, Associate Patent Examiner, Research Fellow at Experimental Therapeutics Centre, and Scientist at Novartis Institute for Tropical Diseases. Jenefer Alam possesses extensive experience in drug discovery, patent examination, and technology transfer, with a notable contribution to the development of the first publicly funded drug candidate in Singapore. Jenefer Alam holds a PhD in Organic Synthesis and Chemical Biology from Nanyang Technological University Singapore, an M.A. in Bio-organic Chemistry from The University of Texas at Austin, and both an M.Pharm and B.Pharm in Pharmacy from the University of Dhaka.
