Michael Venter is an experienced finance professional currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Optus since March 2021. Prior to this role, Michael held various senior positions at Commonwealth Bank, including Chief Operating Officer of Wealth Management and Chief Financial Officer for both International Financial Services and Wealth Management. Michael's extensive career spans over three decades, with earlier roles at companies such as AMP, Nedcor, Absa, Transnet, and EY, where responsibilities included financial management, reporting, and auditing. Michael holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Stellenbosch University and completed high school at Paul Roos Gymnasium.
