Michele Sonen currently serves as the Director and Head of North East Asia at the Singapore International Arbitration Centre, a position held since February 2019. Prior to this role, Michele was an Associate at Lee & Ko, focusing on International Arbitration and Cross-Border Litigation. From April 2014 to January 2016, Michele worked as a Program Officer at the Citizens' Alliance for North Korean Human Rights, specializing in International Campaigns and Advocacy. Additionally, Michele served as a Visiting Assistant Professor of United States Law at Seoul National University School of Law from March 2014 to February 2015. Judicial Law Clerk experience includes positions with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and U.S. District Courts between 2011 and 2013. Early career experience includes a Summer Law Clerk position at the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area and a role as International Media Coordinator and Marketing Assistant at Liuligongfang Shanghai.
