Head Of Product Innovation at Simply Energy

Daniel McClintock has a diverse range of work experience in various companies. Daniel started their career as an Executive Consultant at Manpower in 2006 and later worked as a Recruitment Services Adviser at Powerlink Queensland from 2007 to 2009. From 2009 to 2015, they worked at the Department of State Development, Business and Innovation in various roles, including Manager of Strategy and Research Financial Services Industry. Daniel then moved on to roles at Spark New Zealand as Manager of Product & Propositions and at Vocus Group New Zealand as Head of Product. In 2019, they joined AGL Energy as a Manager of Product & Proposition and later became the Head of Proposition at Public Trust in 2020. Currently, they serve as the Head of Product Innovation at Simply Energy since 2021.

Daniel McClintock has an extensive education history, including multiple degrees and diplomas in various fields. Daniel completed their Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and Masters in Marketing at Melbourne Business School from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Management degree with a focus on International Business at Massey University, from 2005 to 2007. In addition, they obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Business (Corporate Governance) in 2006 and a Postgraduate Diploma in Development Studies and Graduate Diploma in Economics from Massey University, both completed from 2008 to 2010. Earlier, they earned a Bachelor of Business Innovation and Enterprise degree from CPIT (Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology) in 2004, along with diplomas in Human Resource Management and Marketing. Daniel also obtained a Diploma in Applied Management from IMNZ - Institute of Management New Zealand in 2004. Daniel McClintock has further enhanced their professional qualifications through certification programs outside of formal education, including Recognise and Respond in Crisis Situations (Workplace mental health) from St John Ambulance (Vic) in 2022, the Vocus Leadership Development Program from the Australian Institute of Management in 2018, and Agile Fundamentals from The University of Auckland in 2018.
