Laila Maline Sarmadi has over 15 years of work experience in various legal and business roles. From 2005 to 2021, they have worked for multiple organizations such as the 3rd Vara de Família da Defensoria Pública de Niterói, Núcleo de Primeiro Atendimento da Defensoria Pública de São Gonçalo, Mendes Costa Advogados Associados, Instituto Nacional de Câncer – INCA, Transpetro - Petrobras Transporte S. A., Ministério Público do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (MPRJ), Vella Pugliese Buosi e Guidoni Advogados, and Simplified. In their roles, they have provided legal consultation, drawn up of strategic civil procedures, civil and administrative litigation, analysis of legislation and research, and overseeing cross-functional teams' daily operations.

Laila Maline Sarmadi completed a Bachelor's Degree in Law from Universidade Federal Fluminense between 2004 and 2010. From 2008 to 2009, they were on an exchange program at Universit\u00e9 Paris Nanterre, studying International Law. Laila also studied English Literature and Language at UERJ from 2005 to 2008. In 2013, they attended a course in International Commercial Law at FGV - Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Getulio Vargas. In 2018, they studied International Environmental Law at USP - Universidade de S\u00e3o Paulo. Additionally, they studied French at Alian\u00e7a Francesa between 1999 and 2006, and Spanish at Instituto Cervantes since 2013. In 2021, they obtained a certification in Responsive Websites with HTML5 and CSS3 from Udemy, and in 2020, they obtained a certification in Responsive Web Design from freeCodeCamp.
